Fast normally loads in the background. Clearing the model cache pauses background loading. Larger models load after you confirm. Translation loads a model for your chosen language pair, rather than every supported language. Wi-Fi is recommended on first use. Processing time and memory use depend on your device.
No account, analytics or transcript history. Clear removes the current results. Closing the tab discards the workspace; files you save remain on your device.
Fast, Balanced and Advanced use Whisper Tiny, Base and Small. Larger models need more resources and do not guarantee a correct transcript. Review names, quotations and subtitle timing before publishing.

Is this Instagram transcript generator free?
Yes. There is no account or per-use charge. Normal internet data charges may apply when model files load.
Which languages can I transcribe or translate?
Original-language transcription has 99 input language options and automatic detection. For translation, choose the spoken language manually. English videos can be translated into Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, French, Indonesian, Japanese, German, Russian or Korean. Videos in those languages can be translated into English. Choose Original to keep the spoken language.
Recognition quality varies by language. Automatic detection is available for original-language transcription only.
Can I edit and export the result?
Yes. Choose Original or Translation above the result, then Text or SRT. Each view keeps its own edits and can be copied or downloaded. Changing one view does not rewrite the others. Translated subtitles keep the original cue timings; review the wording and timing before sharing. This tool creates text and subtitle files, not dubbed videos or burned-in captions.
How accurate are the transcript and translation?
No accuracy percentage is promised. Music, overlapping speech, accents and unclear recordings can cause mistakes. Speech models can also invent words in silence. Translation can carry transcription errors into the target language and introduce its own mistakes. Review the result against the recording, especially names and quotations. This tool does not separate speakers.
Why won’t my video open?
A file extension does not guarantee that your browser supports its audio codec. Try a short WAV or MP3 export if decoding fails. Files without a decodable audio track cannot be transcribed. This page does not extract text from on-screen images.
